Simple Soynut Butter Soup Eileen Moriarty, Newburyport, MA Download Recipe PDF 2 tbsp olive oil 1/2 cup onions, chopped 1/2 cup celery, chopped 2 tbsp whole wheat flour 4 cups chicken stock or water 1 tbsp soy sauce 1/2 tsp celery seed 1 cup Sea Salted Simple Soynut Butter 2 tsp lemon juice 3/4 cup milk or soymilk 1 cup toasted sunflower seeds Heat oil in a large soup pot. Sauté onions and celery on medium high heat until soft. Blend in flour and stir for about one minute until thickened. Add stock, soy sauce and celery seed. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove about 2 cups of soup and in a small bowl slowly blend in soynut butter with a fork. When a smooth paste is formed, return mixture to the pot. Add the lemon juice and milk and continue to heat. Soup is best served immediately. Garnish with sunflower seeds. |

Spicy Simple Soynut Butter Sauce Eileen Moriarty, Newburyport, MA Download Recipe PDF 1 cup chopped onion 4 cloves crushed garlic 1 cup Sea Salted Simple Soynut Butter 1 tbsp honey 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper juice of one lemon 1-2 tsp grated fresh ginger 1 bay leaf 1 tbsp cider vinegar 2-3 cups water 1 tsp salt dash of soy sauce 2 tbsp butter or olive oil In a saucepan, melt butter and cook the onions, garlic, bay leaf, ginger and dash of salt. When onion becomes translucent, add other ingredients and mix thoroughly. Simmer on the lowest possible heat for 30 min., stirring occasionally. Serve over cooked noodles, grains, vegetables or meat or use for stir fry. |

Mix ingredients, form into cookies and cook for 10-14 minutes. |
